The four-star Rila Hotel is the most impressive hotel in Borovets. Built in 1986 by the French company Les Arcs, it is one of the largest ski lodges on the Balkan Peninsula. The hotel has an excellent location as a ski-in / ski-out hotel; at the very bottom of the ski runs and 200 m from the Gondola lift, 50m from „Sitnyakovo“ Express and 50m from Quad chair „Martinovi Baraki“.
The hotel offers various sports and leisure opportunities. For nature lovers Rila Hotel provides qualified mountain guides and selected hiking trips. The trips are timed from a few hours to a few days and are tailored to the individual tourist’s ability. Other activities include mountain biking, horse back riding, fishing, picnicking, etc. Rila Hotel was completely renovated in 2001 and today it offers 256 double rooms, 266 standard suites (for up to 4 people), 2 superior suites and 2 lofts. All rooms and suites have balconies overlooking the mountain and are equipped with telephone, radio and satellite TV. The standard suites have also a living room with twin beds, small kitchenette and a refrigerator. Rila Hotel provides holidays perfect for any age and during any season and offers ideal leisure opportunities: sports, spa, various restaurants and entertainment clubs, sightseeing tours and cultural programs. |
